Chalet Bonnepierre is located right on the slopes, and yet a very short distance from resort centre. Although it is easy to walk down to the centre of town, you might find it difficult to come back. The hill on the way up is rather steep!

You may perfectly live without a car, while at the chalet. You can ski from door, have food delivered to you and take the free shuttle to reach the resort centre.

• Altiport Henri Giraud: private jet or helicopter landing. 3mn walk to the chalet

• Driving from Lyon:  2H under normal traffic conditions
• Driving from Grenoble: 1H under normal traffic conditions

• L’Alpe d’Huez being a high altitude resort, we strongly recommend the use of winter equipment, particularly on the road from or down to Bourg d’Oisans, where it is sometimes mandatory.
• Snowploughs are operating every morning after snowfall. They clear all the roads throughout the Chalets complex, as well as private accesses to garage doors.
• The use of salt, sand or any type of chemical is prohibited throughout the resort, in order to protect the environment. Snowploughs usually leave a thin icy coating.
